SUBMISSION SERVICES

Submission Services

Submission services are intended for traditional and indie authors who are considering print or e-publishing options. We will outline the submission process and help you select the most appropriate option for your manuscript as well as assist you in securing the required resources needed for self-publication such as book or article designers, cover designers, illustrators and photographers, your copyright and ISBN numbers.

For those who wish to shop their manuscript to various agents, publishing houses or e-publishers but do not have access to such information, we will direct you to the resources and make suggestions regarding the most appropriate houses for your content.

An editor will meet with you after proofreading or editing your manuscript to discuss the submission process. If BookMakers is not handling the proofreading or editing and you just wish to receive submission services, we will talk with you via phone about the content of your manuscript and will arrange to review a sample of your work prior to our face-to-face submission discussion.

Whether you choose traditional, subsidy or E publishing for your manuscript will determine how much involvement will be required of you. If you are working with a subsidy publisher for the first time, you can make arrangements for us to stay with you throughout the entire publication process.

After your manuscript has been submitted, it is time for you to focus on your marketing plan. BookMakers will be happy to assist you in the development of a basic plan and if desired, the creation of a basic website.

Whether or not you choose BookMakers to handle the proofreading and/or editing of your manuscript, we will be glad to assist you with the submission of your manuscript and all of the steps that result. We can refer you to interior designers, cover designers, photographers for cover art, illustrators, graphic artists, and website designers. Publication is an exciting time and a very busy time. Frequently, it's helpful to enter the process with a team by your side.
